The first graders have been busy the past few weeks building and constructing their own true-to-size bald eagle nest. This year they are learning about the bald eagle and watching a pair of bald eagles at Berry College in Georgia via a live webcam. As the Georgia bald eagles have their nest ready for egg laying in a couple of weeks, the first graders have their nest ready too! They compared the size of a bald eagle nest to a hummingbird nest. The girl with the pink gloves is holding the nest from a hummingbird to compare it to the size of the bald eagle nest. What an amazing project! Great job Mrs. Krzus and first graders.
